In AFRIW, she is responsible for peace and conflict themes, peace mediation, humanitarian law, feminist foreign policies, and the empowerment of women and girls.

A seasoned International Relations professional, Saravanan Ganesan has worked with various Indian & German ministries and departments to oversee multiple projects that strengthened Indo-German ties and promoted cross-border cooperation. He has Master’s degrees in European Studies and LLM in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from Europa Universität Viadrina, Germany.
His portfolio in AFRIW includes migration policy, trafficking in human beings, anti-discrimination, and gender equality.
