What we do

At AFRIW, we are dedicated to advancing women’s rights, promoting peace, and supporting vulnerable communities affected by migration and inequality. Our work combines advocacy, education, consultancy, and capacity-building to foster inclusion and systemic change.

We operate across three main areas — Participation, Empowerment, and Support — all driven by a shared commitment to human rights, equality, and social justice.

Our activities include:

  • Monitoring & Analysis: Tracking trends in migration, peace, and human rights, and sharing insights through reports, commentary, and events.
  • Advocacy: Promoting rights-based approaches and policy solutions that protect women, minorities, and marginalised communities.
  • Education & Consultancy: Developing and delivering training, courses, and tailored support for organisations and individuals working in human rights, equality, and development.
  • Information & Networking: Facilitating connections among civil society actors, policymakers, and experts to strengthen collaboration and mutual learning.

AFRIW’s commitment is ongoing: through regular publications, strategic advocacy, and public dialogue, we work every day to build a more just and peaceful world.
